Hello, I actually have a couple of questions and Dave has been great about answering them in the past. Considering the expense of a new septic system, I want to learn as much as I can to be sure that all is well. Question 1 - According to some research I have done, there are two baffles..one in the inlet and one exiting the tank. My tank has only one on the outlet. Is this ok? Question 2 - During the snow melt a couple days ago, I noticed that when there was just patchy snow left that there was none on my septic field. However, during the snow today and last night, it seems to be sticking around. Does the fact that snow seemed to melt away a bit quicker on my field pose a concern? Maybe is was just coincidence. Question 3 - I simply threw the dirt that was on my tank back on it after it was pumped. Based on the info from the health department, there is supposed to be soil, sand and soil with binder. Do I need to put something else on the tank to maintain it's integrity? Thanks so much in advance.
